Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency Program This structured elective rotation allows chief residents to spend two months focused on one of four core areas of plastic surgery: general reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery, or hand and lower extremity surgery. Residency Program - Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery That sets us apart from other highly respected programs. As part of a world-class academic institution, residents in the Weill Cornell and Columbia University Combined Divisions of Plastic Surgery are required to pursue independent clinical or basic science research during their time in the program. During the first three years the residents spend time both in Plastic Surgery and General Surgery. The service is staffed by 1 Intern and 2 senior plastic surgery residents (PSR's), one of whom is a PGy-4, and the other is a plastic surgery chief resident PGY-6. The program has two residents each year for a total complement of twelve residents. This year will allow the resident to master all aspects of Plastic Surgery and gain the confidence to become an independent plastic surgeon. Outpatient Clinics.
